Who We Are

Eastern Shore The Chesapeake Chamber Music Competition is designed to promote new performance opportunities and encouragement for emerging professional ensembles. It is sponsored by the Eastern Shore Chamber Music Festival, Inc., a non-profit organization registered under Maryland law. The Festival and Competition offices are located in Easton, MD. The Festival, which began in 1985, brings internationally acclaimed musicians to the historic Eastern Shore area. While the Festival presents a variety of activities, one of its principal events is two weeks of music in June of each year staged typically in the art deco Avalon Theatre of Easton, the Aspen Institute in Wye Mills, Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Chestertown, and waterside venues in St. Michaels, Easton, or Oxford.

The Competition is assisted by an Advisory Panel of outstanding musicians and educators:
