The Chesapeake Chamber Music Competition promotes emerging professional ensembles by opening the door to new performance opportunities and providing credentials of merit:

This international Competition is open to instrumental ensembles of 3 to 5 musicians with any combination of acoustic instruments. The average of the ages of all members of the ensemble must be less than 31. The Competition is a biennial event funded through private contributions and grants. The Competition offices are located in Easton, Maryland, on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay. The 2008 Competition drew 56 entries from the United States, Canada, Russia, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
The Competition is sponsored by Chesapeake Chamber Music and is conducted with the assistance of an Advisory Panel of outstanding musicians and educators.
